Description

Richelieu premiered on January seventeenth, 1939. Because of the specific situation in France following the German offensive, she sailed for Dakar in June,1940. But also for some government reasons?she struggled Uk warships there. Then she rejoined the Allied in 1942 and wound up being refitted in January 1943 at Brooklyn Navy Yard in the united states. She had the woman radar and AA armament upgraded. Her 37mm and 13.2mm AA armament was indeed changed by 40mm Bofors and 20mm Oerlikons. This refit was in fact completed in August. Then she are incorporated towards Uk Residence Fleet .With devices of this fleet, she participated in a procedure against the Norwegian shore in January 1944.
