Towards Renault RE-20 Turbo

• Winner connected with Brazilian, South African and Austrian F-1 Grand Prix's in 1980, the Renault RE-20 Turbo proved the worth of Renault's turbo engine beyond a shadow of concern. Renault's first turbo-engined F-1 racer, the RE-01 showed up, to wide acclaim, in 1977. The very first triumph this new engine was scored in 1979, whenever RS-10 won first and third destination on French Grand Prix. Some improvements and refinements produced the RE-20, that has been almost 30kg lighter than its predecessor, and showcased a V-6, 1.5 liter, twin turbocharged motor capable of an unbelievable 520BHP (approx.) output.
