B-24D LIberator
The B-24 Liberator was at fact the best known United States long-range bombers, commonly used during World War II, in addition to its friend and competing, the B-17 Flying Fortress. It could be recognised as a result of its “double drift” end. It had been produced and built by Consolidated at the beginning of the 1940’s. The B-24 D was indeed the initial bombing variation built on a huge scale from 1942, with nearly 3,000 devices built through conflict. Running on 4 Pratt & Whitney R-1830-43 1,200hp products, with Hamilton-Standard propellers which squeezed it to a maximum price of 467 km/h, it eliminated an offensive payload of over 3,600 kg in bombs. It was placed on all fronts, both in Europe plus in Pacific.
