Commemorating Ferrari's 40th anniversary, the F40 made its first in July of 1987. The mechanics of F40 stick to the standard Ferrari practice of using materials and technology acquired from F1 racing. The F40's mid-ship mounted 2936cc V8 double turbo charged engine produces 478hp. The F40 features all the high-performance of an F1 racing automobile removed through the circuit and taken to general public roadways.
