The "Tuskegee Airmen" had been a famous USAAF unit which has been composed of African-American pilots during WWII. They formed the 332nd Fighter Group and had been firstly implemented towards the Mediterranean in June 1943. In to the following year, the 332nd FG ended up being implemented to Italy to escort bombers to attack targets in Southern Germany and Eastern countries in europe. In November 1944, the unit have been re-equipped with P-51Ds plus in March 1945, they escorted B-17 bombers to Berlin.
