This rather rare WWII German AFV showcased a fearsome 38cm rocket launcher mounted upon the confirmed Tiger I chassis, and originated to be utilized against greatly strengthened enemy jobs, against which it would fire 1.5m very long, 350kg rocket-powered projectiles. Regarding survivability, too, the Sturmtiger's combat compartment had been well-equipped, with 15cm of front armor and 8cm regarding the edges. All told, only 18 examples had been produced, between August and December 1944; they were deployed in occupied Poland, plus on German home soil considering that the conflict ground to its summary.
