The thicker chassis alters the maneuvering faculties of NT1; the increased rigidity improves handling on high-traction areas and makes the NT1 more reactive. Another significant benefit would be the undeniable fact that thicker framework concentrates the surplus fat inside the cheapest CG component of the car – in the chassis – which decreases the requirement to install additional lots to keep the NT1 within fat restrictions.
