Towards British Quad Gun Tractor
During WWI, numerous countries started making use of motorcars for different army purposes including hauling guns. Automobiles was indeed classified in several teams according because of their purpose including armored automobiles, tanks and self-propelled guns that carried hand-held artillery, and weapon tractors which were designed for hauling tools. During this time, the British, who'd many high level full-track and half-track technology, started realizing the advantage of using motorcars into the army. They began developing several tractors for the single intent behind hauling artillery. The British produced uniquely shaped gun tractors, known as 'Quad', which had an angular body and fast wheelbase with big wheels. These four Quad weapon tractors was indeed developed: man Quad Ant, Morris Commercial C8 Mk we & Mk II Quad, Karrier KT 4 Indian Quad, and Canadian Military Pattern (CPM) Quad claimed in Canada. The military mainly utilize the CMP Quad through the entire war, due to its quality and mass manufacturing. The CMP Quads like the FAT-2 Quad weapon tractor was in fact good automobiles and a facile task to operate. They proceeded on active service in Uk Commonwealth forces for about 15-20 years even with the war.
