After WWI, Germany forced ahead utilizing the growth of battle tanks under a veil of privacy. The Panzerkampfwagen II utilized the Panzerkampfwagen I's hull and came armed with a 2cm main gun. Mass production were only available in 1937 and also other improvements including a whole new suspension system had been made. Around 1088 Panzerkampfwagen II Ausf.A-C tanks had been manufactured up until April 1940. The Panzerkampfwagen II led the shock assault on Poland and smashed their means throughout European countries. They were later changed by better frontline tanks but were successfully utilized in reconnaissance missions ahead of the end associated with the war.
