The 100 years War was indeed a protracted conflict which, at different phases, included the Kingdom of England therefore Kingdom of France. It began, for hereditary reasons, in 1337 and have been battled on French territory. It marked a decisive turning point in army strategy and techniques. Through the century War the Heavy French cavalry was indeed the queen about the battlefield.
