The Sikorsky UH-60 black colored colored Hawk is a "twin-turbine" engine, solitary rotor, semimonocoque fuselage, rotary wing helicopter. The "Ebony Hawk" originated to meet with a US Army dependence on a UH-1 Iroquois replacement in 1972. Three prototypes have been constructed, the initial (YUH-60) traveling in October 1974, and examined against a rival (YUH-61) Boeing-Vertol design. The Black Hawk was indeed chosen for manufacturing along side UH-60A entered solution with the united states of america Army in 1979.
