Pendulum wheel knuckle for SCX10 tuning

This pendulum wheel knuckle provides an axle-mounted weight designed to lower the centre of gravity on Axial SCX10 crawlers and improve tyre contact on angled terrain. The tapered weight keeps mass below the pivot so the wheel holds ground when the chassis tilts.

The mechanism uses a central bearing and a Delrin collar to permit smooth swinging motion, and the kit is supplied with a 31mm hex adapter for broader wheel fitment. Manufacturer fit notes include: each pendulum weighs 82 grams, the 31mm hex is 25mm wider than the original, wheels need a 45mm inner diameter, and a 5mm threaded hole in the wheel is required for the fasteners.

Use this kit as part of a low-speed traction setup; match tyre compound, wheel offset and suspension settings to the pendulum weights for the best climbing balance on rocks and logs.

For axle-end weight tuning on Axial SCX10 models this pendulum kit moves mass down and outboard to assist traction on steep or gap-style obstacles; always confirm wheel inner diameter and 5mm thread compatibility prior to install.

The compatible model list includes SCX10 II, but check wheel bore and thread compatibility on your wheels before fitting the adapters.
Inspect the bearing and Delrin collar periodically for wear and clean any grit to ensure free swing action; replace components if binding occurs.
The pendulum is supplied at a fixed 82 grams per unit; changing tyre or wheel mass is the usual method to adjust overall axle-end weight.
